The performance settings govern agent behavior, the frequency at which the Cloud Agent communicates with the agent host and the Qualys Cloud platform, and the performance of CPU and network utilization.
You can configure the performance setting with the following options:
You can select the default performance options such as Low, Normal, and High. The performance parameters for the agent host are set to the default values based on the default option you select.
Select this option to customize the performance setting as per your requirements.
Set the Cloud Agent performance as Low, Normal, or High. The default values for the other parameters are set based on the performance value you set. You can edit these values as per your requirements.
It is the time interval after which a Cloud Agent status is updated in the cloud platform. The range for this parameter is 900 - 7200 seconds and the default value depends upon the performance type you select.
It is the time interval after which a Cloud Agent attempts to upload the detected changes to the cloud platform. The range for this parameter is 1 - 1800 seconds and the default value depends upon the performance type you select.
The upload block size, and combined with the above network throttle Tx, determines network utilization. The upload block range is 64-10240 KB.
Interval (in seconds) an agent checks the platform for a new upgrade, if configured to do so. Range: 32400 seconds or more. Recommended: 64800 for Low and Normal performance, 32400 for High performance.
These are the amount and details of log messages generated by the Cloud Agent. You can select the logging level from the available options.
Configure the interval between the completion of the previous Priority Status Upload and the start of the next Priority Status Upload. Specify a value between 30 and 300 seconds. The default value for this parameter is 60 seconds.
Defines the percentage limit of the processor core(s) used by the Cloud Agent. Lower percentages reduce CPU utilization at the expense of longer execution times. You can set the parameter value between 2-100%.
Note: This percentage limit does not apply to FIM or EDR processing as these products must maintain real-time processing.
Configure the amount of processing used by the CPU and introduce the delays between Cloud Agent executions. For higher CPU throttle value there is less CPU utilization and take more time for agent executions. Range: 0-1000 milliseconds.
Note: This setting works only on Unix platform version 1.6 and later.
