The Qualys Cloud Agent provides continuous security updates for your network. As soon as Cloud Agent discovers changes in your host assets, it performs an assessment and updates you about any potential security threats. All you need to do is just install a lightweight Cloud Agent on your host. This document helps you get started with Cloud Agent installation and operation.
Overview
Installation: You can install lightweight Cloud Agents on your on-premise systems, dynamic cloud environments, and mobile endpoints. Qualys Cloud Platform centrally manages these Cloud Agents, which are equipped with self-updating capabilities.
Scanning in Cloud Platform: Once installed, Cloud Agents start syncing host asset data to Qualys Cloud Platform. Cloud Platform then performs the assessment on the host metadata collected by Cloud Agent. Since the host assessment is performed in our Cloud Platform, Cloud Agent needs minimal footprints and processing on the host assets.
Stay Updated with Network Security: Qualys Cloud Platform uses the same scanning signatures as used in scanning by Qualys scanners. The Qualys Cloud Platform applications, such as Vulnerability Management(VM), Policy Compliance (PC), Continuous Monitoring (CM), Global AssetView (GAV), and more, continuously keep you updated on any new security threats to your assets.
