Get Started with Common Container Intel Agent
Thank you for your interest in Qualys Cloud Agent.
This guide covers everything you need to deploy the Common Container Intel Agent across supported platforms.
The Common Container agent marks a significant step forward in deployment simplicity. Previously, we supported AWS Bottlerocket, GCP COS, and CoreOS Family in containerized environments. Now, we have added 2 more platforms under containers - Linux and Ubuntu Intel. We have also created a common binary to use across supported platforms. This consolidation reduces operational overhead, streamlines version management, and eliminates the complexity of maintaining platform-specific packages.
Benefits of Common Container Agent
The Common Container Cloud Agent offers the following benefits:
- Single common binary: The Common Container agent uses one tar file for deployments across every supported platform.
- Extended platform coverage: Previously, we supported AWS Bottlerocket, GCP COS, and CoreOS in a common container. We are extending the support to Linux and Ubuntu Intel through the common container.
Using the Linux Cloud Agent and Common Container Agent on the same asset, at the same time, can lead to unpredictable behavior. We recommend not using these Cloud Agents simultaneously.
