Installation Prerequisites
Cloud Agent requirements
Your hosts must be able to reach your Qualys Cloud Platform (or the Qualys Private Cloud Platform) over HTTPS port 443. Log into the Qualys Cloud Platform and go to Help > About to see the URL your hosts need to access.
Installation Package
To install a Qualys Cloud Agent on your host, you must download the Cloud Agent installer and get the associated ActivationID and CustomerID. To get the Qualys Cloud Agent installer; login to the Qualys Cloud Platform, go to the Cloud Agent (CA) application, and follow the installation steps for Qualys Cloud Agent for GCP Container Optimized OS (.tar.xz) to get everything you need.
Prerequisite
To install the Qualys Cloud Agent on GCP Container Optimized OS, you need to have a host system that can communicate with the Qualys Cloud Platform or Qualys Private Cloud Platform over HTTPS 443 Port. Also, the host system should have access to the following:
- Google Cloud Build for host the Container Optimized OS.
- Google Cloud Artifacts Registry APIs to store and manage build artifacts.
- Google Cloud CLI to create and manage your cloud resources.
- Docker Package to run your application inside containers.
- Google Cloud Shell editor
- Kubectl for communicating with Kuberenetes control plane. It allows you to perform every Kubernetes operation.
