Configuration for Agent ID Services

The Cloud Agent needs high privileges to activate the Agent ID service on selected ports. Once the Agent ID service is activated, the scanner connects to the defined ports and retrieves the correlation ID during the scan.

However, if you do not want the Agent ID service to run with high privileges, use one of the following methods.

• Run the Agent ID service as a non-root user regardless of the UseSudo value when User=option is configured. This is applicable only for Cloud Agent Linux version 4.9 and later. 
  
  OR
• Configure the Cloud Agent using non-root privileges by using the following command:
  /usr/local/qualys/cloud-agent/bin/qualys-cloud-agent.sh User='username' UseSudo=1
