Cloud Agent Proxy Configuration
By default, the Qualys Cloud Agent for Linux operates in non-proxy mode. However, you can configure the Cloud Agent to use an HTTPS proxy for internet access.
We recommend using the HTTP proxy for Azure Secure Center (ASC) to connect with Qualys Cloud Platform. If the proxy connection fails, Cloud Agent does not attempt a direct connection outbound (Fail Closed).
Options for Proxy Configuration
You can configure the Cloud Agent to use an HTTPS configuration in one of the following ways:
- For Linux (.rpm) Cloud Agent:
/etc/sysconfig/qualys-cloud-agent
- For Linux (.deb) Cloud Agent:
/etc/default/qualys-cloud-agent
- For Linux (.rpm) and Linux (.deb) Cloud Agents:
/etc/environment
If the Cloud Agent uses the systemwide proxy, we recommend you use the/etc/environment
configuration.
