Uninstalling Cloud Agent from Cloud Agent UI or APIs

When you uninstall a cloud agent using the Cloud Agent user interface or Cloud Agent API, the Cloud Agent and associated license is removed from the Qualys subscription. Also, the associated agent host records and scan results for licensed applications i.e. Vulnerability Management and policy Compliance, are also deleted.

Uninstalling the Cloud Agent from the Host

When you uninstall a cloud agent from the host (using the uninstall utility), the Cloud Agent record, license usage, and scan results are not removed from the Qualys subscription. To remove the agent’s host record, license, and scan results use the Cloud Agent user interface or Cloud Agent API to uninstall the agent.

Following is the sample uninstallation command:

sudo/Applications/QualysCloudAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/qagent_uninstall.sh

On macOS High Sierra (10.13), launchd takes some time to remove the com.qualys.cloud-agent process, although the agent is already uninstalled.
