Host Asset Requirements

Before you start installing the Cloud Agent, your host assets must meet the following requirements.

Network Requirements

Your hosts must be able to reach Qualys Cloud Platform or the Qualys Private Cloud Platform over HTTPS port 443. Login to the Qualys Cloud Platform and go to Help > About to see the URL your hosts need to access.

Installation Requirements

Your assets must have root privileges, non-root with Sudo root delegation, or non-root with sufficient privileges (VM license only) to install the Qualys Cloud Agent.

The Cloud Agent should also support proxy configuration. To learn more about proxy configuration, refer to the Cloud Agent Proxy Configuration.

Hardware Requirements

Your system must fulfill the following hardware requirements to install Cloud Agent.

• The Cloud Agent requires a minimum of 512 MB RAM if you are using a VM/PC. A minimum of 1GB RAM is required for the VM/PC.
• A minimum of 200 MB of disk space is required.
