Qualys Cloud Agent

Qualys Cloud Agent enables instant, global visibility of IT assets —even occasionally-connected mobile and virtual devices, with up-to-date asset configuration data for security and compliance. A low-footprint agent installed on endpoints, Cloud Agent brings the high-performance functionality of all Qualys Cloud Platform services to all IT assets in the global enterprise.

Key Features

  • Light Weight, Extensible, Self-updating, and Centrally Managed: The Qualys Cloud Agent can be easily installed on any host using a silent installer. It consumes less than 1% of CPU resources with peaks of < 5% during scanning operations. Once installed, it assesses the host's configuration and uploads that snapshot to the Qualys Cloud Platform. The agent is self-updating and self-healing, eliminating the need for reboots.
  • Real-time Actionable Delta Collection with Customizable Configuration Profile: Agents automatically update the Cloud Platform with new information, eliminating the need to manually poll the system for asset inventory data. This provides an up-to-date system configuration, even when the endpoint is offline or unreachable. Qualys platform continuously evaluates and enriches data. The Cloud Agent offers flexible performance configuration and scanning controls, allowing organizations to customize performance and bandwidth usage for specific requirements. Each Configuration Profile comes with settings for agent performance, assigned hosts, scan interval, data collection options, reduced activity periods, suspending data collection, and preventing auto-updating of agent binaries.
  • Dynamic Tagging: Dynamic asset tagging with agents provides a continuous view of your network and how each asset relates to your business. This allows for efficient alignment of your scanning, reporting, and remediation tracking with the way you view your business. This helps your IT, security, and compliance teams get informed quickly and effectively about the most important issues.
