Cloud Agent for Linux ARM Release 7.3

June 01, 2026

We are introducing the following new updates for Linux ARM Cloud Agent.

Rollback Installed Patches

We introduced Patch Rollback support in Patch Management application to roll back installed application patches. Patch rollback enables users to restore their upgraded application to any previous version when needed. This helps you better control the newly installed patches and allows quick recovery when new patches do not work as expected.

Only patches installed using Qualys Patch Management can be rolled back using the Patch Rollback feature.

By default, Debian Ubuntu maintains only the latest and base versions of installed applications in the package repository. Now, for Debian Ubuntu, we support maintaining all the previous application versions in a mirror repository and rolling back to any intermediate version. For RPM-based assets, you do not need a mirror repository to roll back your application to any intermediate versions.

This option is available for the following platforms: RHEL, Oracle Linux, Amazon Linux, Alma Linux, Rocky Linux, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, openSUSE, and SLES. Using this option, you can switch to a more stable application version, improving performance and optimizing resource utilization on your assets.

Install FedRAMP Compatible Linux ARM Cloud Agent

We have upgraded the Linux ARM Cloud Agent to meet the FedRAMP-compliance requirements. You can now install the new Linux ARM Cloud Agent on the FedRAMP-high Cloud Platform (https://qualysguard.gov1.qualys.us).

The FedRAMP-compatible Cloud Agent packages ensure that the highest level of data security practices are being adopted on the FedRAMP-high GOV1 cloud platform.

To install the FedRAMP-compatible package, we introduced a new parameter, FEDRAMP={true|false}, in Cloud Agent installation command.

Cloud Agent Reporting We fixed an issue where the RPM command failures were not reported correctly. Now QID 45613 reports the RPM command failure.
Cloud Agent Notifications We fixed an issue where the useSudoForCep configuration was always honored for root users. Now, the sudo configuration is honored only when useSudo is set to 1.
