New Features

With this release of Qualys Cloud Agent for MacOS Intel, we are providing the following new features and enhancements.

Support for Endpoint Detection and Response

The Qualys Cloud Agent for MacOS Intel now supports the new application ― Qualys Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR). With the EDR, you can monitor the security posture, detect vulnerabilities, and take corrective actions to reduce the security risk for your networks and endpoints.

 For the Qualys EDR application to function properly, ensure that your Cloud Agent has full disk access enabled in system settings or enforced through a Mobile Device Management (MDM) policy.

You can enable the EDR application for your Cloud Agent while creating a configuration profile.

The EDR provides you with the following features.

• Monitor system files
• Monitor processes running on assets
• Monitor creation, updates, renaming, and deletion of system files.

Required Application Version

Endpoint Detection and Response 3.5.0

There are no behavioral changes for this release.

Platform Coverage Support

The Qualys Cloud Agent for MacOS Intel 6.0 and later versions are supported on the following operating systems with malware protection enabled.

• MacOS Ventura 13.x
• MacOS Sonoma 14.x
• MacOS Sequoia 15.x
