Qualys SwCA Scanner for Linux 1.3.1
April 06, 2026
With this release of SwCA Scanner for Linux, we are introducing the following new features and enhancements.
Optimized Logging for Linux SwCA Scanners
We optimized the logging process for Linux SwCA Scanners to ensure efficient operation and accessibility.
Easy Access for SwCA Logs
The SwCA Scanner for Linux generates a separate log file for easy access, enabling more efficient analysis and troubleshooting. Previously, SwCA logs were captured in the Cloud Agent scan log file.
The SwCA logs are now available at: /var/log/qualys/qualys-swca.log
Optimal Default Log Level
We updated the default log-level for SwCA processes to Warning. This reduces the log file size by omitting regular process logs, optimizing the usage of asset resources.
SwCA supports the following log levels: Trace, Debug, Information, Warning, and Error.
You can change the log level in the SwCA configuration file (/usr/local/qualys/cloud-agent/swca/config/qagent-swca.yaml) by configuring the log_level parameter to trace, debug, , infowarn, or error.
The SwCA log level is independent of the Cloud Agent log level.

| SwCA Memory Usage | We fixed an issue where the SwCA scan was causing high memory consumption. We have enhanced SwCA for optimal memory usage during the scan. |
| Third-party Library Update | The SwCA third-party libraries were outdated. We have updated these third-party libraries. |
