SwCA Scanner for Windows Release 1.22
July 22, 2026
We are introducing the following new enhancements for the SwCA Scanner for Windows.
Issues Addressed
The following important and notable customer issues are fixed in this release.
| Category/Components | Description |
|---|---|
| False Positive Detection | Fixed an issue where SwCA reported vulnerabilities from a ZIP file even when only the Runtime detection mode was enabled. Runtime mode now correctly excludes ZIP-based software package detection, preventing these unexpected vulnerability findings and aligning scan results with the selected detection mode. |
| Temporary File Detection | Fixed an issue where SwCA scans could detect vulnerable software components from temporary files (sca*.tmp) created during the scan process. The scanner now correctly excludes temporary scan-generated files from the SwCA scan, preventing duplicate or inaccurate findings and ensuring that reported vulnerabilities correspond only to actual software present on the asset. |
| Software Component Path Mapping | Fixed an issue where SwCA scans incorrectly mapped certain software components to generic Windows system paths (for example, C:? Windows\system32). SwCA scanner now correctly identifies and filters MSI-encoded system directory paths, so components are mapped to their actual install locations. |
