Create Public CA (DigiCert) 

For issuing a certificate from DigiCert, submit a Certificate Signing Request (CSR). For public CA Certificate View uses ACME protocol. 

Certificate View helps to  automate the issuance and renewal of certificates without human intervention

Create CA Using DigiCert

Follow these steps for creating CSR:

  1. Navigate to Configuration > Certificate AuthoritiesCreate New > DigiCert.

    Create New: DigiCert window is displayed.

  2. Enter the Name of the connection.
  3. Provide ACME Directory URL. (Get this URL from your DigiCert account. )

    For reference purposes, refer the screenshot of ACME Directory URL taken from DigiCert Account. For more details, refer to the official website of DigiCert.

  4. For External Account Binding, enter Key Identifier.

    For refer details, refer to the official website of DigiCert.

  5. Enter HMAC Key.

  6. Click Test Connection to validate the credentials and ACME Directory URL.

  7. If your test connection is not verified and you receive an error message, verify that the Qualys URL can access the provided ACME Directory URL, and double-check that the credentials you entered are correct.

Manage Certificate Authority

You can manage Certificate Authorities by using the Quick Actions menu to Edit, Delete, and Set as default. 

Setting a default option is useful while creating a job, as it allows you to use the default CA (Certificate Authority).
