Report Scheduling and Notifications
The Report Scheduling feature allows you to automate report generation across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI environments. You can run reports immediately, schedule them to run at a specific time, configure recurring schedules, and receive email notifications when the reports are ready. This helps reduce manual effort and improves visibility into report activities.
Overview
With report scheduling, you can:
- Run a report on demand.
- Schedule reports to run automatically on a daily or weekly basis.
- Choose specific days for weekly schedules.
- Set conditions for when a schedule should end.
- Receive an email when a scheduled report is completed.
- Download generated reports from the Reports tab.
- Manage multiple schedules from a single view.
Customize the Columns in Your CSV Reports
When you create a CSV report from a runtime assessment scan, a Report Display step lets you choose exactly what goes into it, turning sections and individual columns on or off so the report matches what your team actually reviews.
Five customization sections are available:
- Report metadata
- Account-level statistics
- Control-level statistics
- Resource-level statistics (appears when Resource Summary is turned on)
- Posture findings (previously labeled Details)
Benefits
- Reports match how your team works, instead of one fixed layout for everyone.
- Smaller, focused CSVs are easier to open, filter, and feed into other tools.
- New ID fields make it easier to cross-reference resources and controls.
Currently, only CSV reports from runtime scans support this customization. PDF and build-time reports, along with fields like tags and remediation steps, are not yet supported.
Running Reports
You can run any supported report immediately:
- Go to the Reports section.
- Select the report you want to run.
- Choose Run Now to trigger the report generation instantly.
- When completed, the report will be available for download in the Reports tab.
Scheduling Reports
To automate report generation:
- Open the report you want to schedule.
- Select Schedule Report.
- Configure the following options:
Schedule Frequency
- Daily: Runs once every day at the selected time.
- Weekly: Runs on selected days of the week.
Start Time
Choose the time when the schedule should begin.
Set the report generation time at least 3 minutes after the scheduled start time. If both times are the same, the report may fail to download.
End Conditions
You can end the schedule in one of the following ways:
- End on a specific date
- End after a defined number of occurrences
- No end date (runs indefinitely)
Email Notifications
Specify one or more email recipients who should be notified when the report is ready.
Recipients will receive an email once the report has been successfully generated.
Managing Scheduled Reports
You can view and manage all scheduled reports from the Schedule Management page.
Available Actions
- Run Now: Immediately execute a scheduled job.
- Pause: Temporarily stop the schedule.
- Resume: Restart a paused schedule.
- Delete: Remove a schedule (up to 10 schedules can be deleted at once).
- Bulk Actions: Select multiple schedules (within supported limits) and perform batch operations such as run, pause, resume, or delete.
Download Generated Reports
Once a scheduled report has completed, you can:
- Download it from the email link (if notifications are enabled).
- Access it anytime from the Reports tab.
