Open Ports Inventory in CSAM

The Open Ports tab provides an overview of open ports across your organization's assets.

By monitoring open ports, you can:

  • Detect unauthorized or unexpected services running on assets.
  • Reduce your attack surface by identifying open ports on your assets.
  • View the port number and the protocol used for each asset.

You can also view the associated authorization rule or add the port to an authorization rule.

Column Description
Port Displays the open port number.
Protocol Displays the protocol used for communication.
Asset Displays the total number of assets with the open port. You can click the count to view the assets.

Quick Actions for Open Ports

You can perform following actions on the detected open ports:

Quick Action Description
View Authorization Rule View the authorization status of the open port.
Add to Authorization Rule Add the open port to an authorization rule by following these steps:
  1. Select an Authorization status from the list.

    Options are, Authorize, Unauthorize, and Needs Review.

    If you select Unauthorize, you must assign a QDS score.

  2. Select an existing rule from the list.

  3. Click Create New Rule to create a new port rule or Save to add the port to the rule.

Download Open Ports Details

To download details, follow these steps:

  1. Click Download to view the Download Formats.
  2. Select one of the following options:
    • Comma-Separated Value (CSV)
    • Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)
    • Extensible Markup Language (XML)
    • Portable Document Format (PDF)
  3. Select the timezones to use for dates included in the details.
  4. Click Download.
