Get Started with Microsoft Teams Alerting
Integrating the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform with Microsoft Teams allows for seamless delivery of rule-based alerts directly to your Teams channels. You can set up automated workflows to push alerts based on specific conditions or triggers.
This integration utilizes a newly developed workflow similar to the Microsoft O365 connector. It enables secure and reliable communication between the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform and Microsoft Teams. Once set up, alerts are sent in real-time to designated Teams channels.
The following are the benefits of Microsoft Teams Alerting:
- Streamlined Communication: Centralizes all team alerts within Microsoft Teams, thus reducing the need to monitor multiple systems or email inboxes.
- Customizable Alerts: Enables users to create alerts tailored to specific triggers and actions.
- Automation: Minimizes manual intervention through automation, thus improving overall efficiency.
Prerequisite
To receive notifications in the team's channel, the following prerequisites must be met:
- You must have access to the channel.
- You must be able to create, edit, and delete the channel.
Quick Start Steps
To send an alert using the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform, follow these steps:
- Create Microsoft Teams Workflow in the Microsoft Teams application.
- Edit the Workflow to Post an Adaptive Card.
- Create a Rule from the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform and attach the action you created to it. This rule is triggered when an event matches the specified QQL query defined during its creation.
Upon triggering, it sends an HTTP request to the provided webhook, initiating the workflow.

Following these steps, you can successfully send Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform alerts to Teams.
