Content Control
In the Content Control settings, you can allow or block websites or applications that users can access. The Content Control setting helps you define your organization's policies towards data protection.
Content Control is compatible with Windows 5.5 Agent and Mac 1.0.2 Agent.
Web Access Control
With Web Access Control, organizations can manage and control web traffic on their endpoints. Filtering and monitoring web-based activities help prevent access to malicious sites or harmful content.
How do you configure web access control?
To configure web access control, follow these steps:
- On the EDR's menu bar, click Configuration.
- In the EDR Profiles tab, click New Profile. To edit a profile, hover over the profile name, click the downward arrow next to the profile name, and then click Edit.
- Go to the Network Protection tab and click the Content Control drop-down, select the Web Access Control checkbox, and then select one of the following categories:
- Aggressive - Select this option to allow access only to websites related to business, education, government, news, search engines, tabloids, and webmail.
- Normal - Select this option to block online gaming, dating, and shopping websites, and prevent access to religious, social networking, mature-content, and lifestyle websites.
- Permissive - Select this option to block only websites containing mature content.
- Custom - Select this option to choose the categories of websites you want to allow or restrict users from visiting.
You can perform this action in the Exclusions step. For example, if you want to block all the online shopping websites except for Amazon.com. You can add an exclusion for Amazon.com. For more information, refer to Exclusions Support.
