Managing Actions and Rules

The Actions page shows a list of actions based on the chosen Action Setting when creating a new rule in the Rule Manager. The page lists the following details for each action:

  • Action Name
  • Type of the Action
  • Number of Active or Inactive rules and
  • Date and time the rule was created

You can perform View, Edit, and Save As actions using the Quick Actions. The column names on the Action page are highlighted in the following screenshot.

 The Quick Actions menu on the existing rule allows you to:

  • View action details
  • Edit action
  • Save action. On clicking Save As, a copy of the action that you are saving is created.

You can search for actions using a Qualys Query Language (QQL) query for a specific action name. For more information, see Search Tokens.  

Managing Rules in Rule Manager

The Rule Manager tab displays all the rules you created and provides the following details:

  • Rule Name
  • Action chosen for the rule
  • Date and Time when the rule was Last Triggered
  • State of the rule, whether the rule is Enabled or Disabled and
  • Date and time the rule was created

The Quick Actions menu on an existing rule allows you to perform View, Edit, Enable, Disable, Save As, Delete, or Show Activity actions. An example of the Quick Actions from the Rule Manager is displayed in the following screenshot.
