Activate IP Assets

You can activate IPv4 and IPv6 assets across the applications within your subscription. Activation allows you to manage previously unmanaged assets and assign them to the appropriate asset groups.

Activate a Single IPv4 or IPv6 Asset

You can activate IPv4 or IPv6 assets directly from the Assets tab.

To activate, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Assets tab and select the required IPv4 or IPv6 asset.
2. Click Activate from the Quick Actions menu.

   The Asset Activation window is displayed.

3. Select the applications where the assets should be activated.
4. Select the Tracking Method.

   Only the IP tracking method is supported for IPv6 assets.

5. Select Network.
6. Select the Asset Groups for the asset as IPv4 or IPv6 based on the asset type.

   IPv6 assets can be assigned only to IPv6 asset groups, and IPv4 assets can be assigned only to IPv4 asset groups. Selecting an asset group of the other IP type has no effect.

7. Click Activate.

Once you activate the asset for the required modules, the IP address of that asset is added for the respective module scan.

Activate Multiple IPv4 or IPv6 Assets

You can activate multiple IPv6 assets at once from the Assets tab.

To activate, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Assets tab and select the required IPv4 or IPv6 assets.
2. Click Activate Assets from the Actions menu.

   The Asset Activation window is displayed.

3. Select the applications where the assets should be activated.
4. Select the Tracking Method.

   Only the IP tracking method is supported for IPv6 assets.

5. Select Network.
6. Select the Asset Groups for the assets as IPv4 or IPv6 based on the asset type.

   IPv6 assets can be assigned only to IPv6 asset groups, and IPv4 assets can be assigned only to IPv4 asset groups.

7. Click Activate.

Once you activate assets for the required modules, the IP addresses of those assets are added for the respective module scan.

Activate Multiple IPv4 and IPv6 Assets Together

You can activate IPv4 and IPv6 assets together in one single action.

To activate, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Assets tab and select the required IPv4 and IPv6 assets.
2. Click Activate Assets from the Actions menu.

   The Asset Activation window is displayed.

3. Select the applications where the assets should be activated.
4. Select the Tracking Method.

   Only the IP tracking method is supported for IPv6 assets.

5. Select Network.
6. Select the Asset Groups for the assets as IPv4 or IPv6 based on the asset type.

   IPv6 assets can be assigned only to IPv6 asset groups, and IPv4 assets can be assigned only to IPv4 asset groups.

7. Click Activate.

Once you activate assets for the required modules, the IP addresses of those assets are added for the respective module scan.
