Copying Qualys Image to Your Storage Container

To deploy the Qualys Virtual Scanner Appliance (qVSA) in Azure, copy the VHD image provided by Qualys to your Azure storage container using Azure CLI.

Prerequisite

Before copying the image, ensure you have the following:

• account_key: Your key secret
• account_name: your storage account name
• destination-container: name of blob container within your storage account
• destination_blob: destination blob name for image, e.g. qVSA-Azure.PCP.XXX.x86_64-4.X.X-1.vhd
• source-ur: SAS URL provided by Qualys

Copy the Image Using Azure CLI

Use the Azure CLI command to copy the qVSA VHD image directly to your storage container. Do not download the image using the provided URL.

Execute the Azure CLI command by launching Azure Cloud Shell in Azure Portal or from your local CLI installation.

az storage blob copy start --account-key <key secret> --account-name <storage account name> --destination-blob MyDestinationBlob --destination-container MyDestinationBlobContainer --source-uri <SAS_URL_Provided_by_Qualys>
