Check Scanner Appliance Status

You can check the status of the virtual Scanner Appliance in the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform UI.

  1. Go to Scans > Appliances.
  2. Search for your appliance in the list. It can take several minutes for the Qualys user interface to get updated after you add a new appliance.
  3. Refresh your browser periodically to ensure that you see the most up-to-date details.

The following table lists the various indicators and the respective appliance status that they denote:

The appliance is connected to Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform and is ready to perform scans.

Indicator 2

The Scanner Appliance is not connected to the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform and is not ready to perform scans. Ensure your appliance is properly configured aQualys Enterprise TruRisk™ PlatformCloud Platform.

Indicator 3

The Scanner Appliance is currently busy working on a scan job. See the preview pane for available capacity.

Indicator 4

The Scanner Appliance is not busy doing any scan jobs.

After you see the indicator1 indicator, start your internal scans. After this, you can see the busy icon is grayed out until you launch a scan using this Scanner Appliance.
