Common Errors in Scanner Appliance Deployment

Check for errors in the Serial Port 1 (console) output.

If you find issues with the personalization code, shut down the VM, fix the Metadata PERSCODE value and start the VM again. If the problem persists and the appliances are not communicating with Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform, contact Qualys Support. Include your Qualys portal URL, username and attach the serial output logs to the support ticket.

You can install Qualys Cloud Agents (Windows and Linux) for GCP VM Instances via seamless integration of Qualys Cloud Agent solution in GCP Marketplace. This integration is a Bring Your Own License (BYOL) where only Qualys customers can use it as it requires them to use Cloud Agent Customer ID and Activation ID to configure the integration.
