Configure the Connector

Follow these steps to create and configure a connector that integrates with the external Qualys API in ServiceNow.

1. In the application navigator, click Favorites or navigate to Configuration > Connectors.
2. On the Connectors list page, click New to create a new connector record.
3. In the New Connector form, perform the following actions:
4. Enter a name for the connector.
5. Go to the Connection Section and Unlock the Edit Endpoint field (if locked).
6. Provide the target Qualys API endpoint URL.
7. Lock the Edit Endpoint field again to preserve the value.
8. Go to the Authentication Section and perform the following actions:
   • Enter valid username and password credentials.
   • Click Update to save the connector. 
     After successful authentication, available modules (data entities) may be auto-selected or displayed for import.
9. Reopen the newly created connector record for further configuration:
   • In the Related Links section, click Edit next to Import Configurations.
   • In the Edit Members window:
     • Select the required import configurations from the left pane.
     • Click the right arrow (>) to move them into the selected list.
     • Click Save to apply the configuration.
10. Click Submit or Update in the connector form to finalize the setup.
