Configure Detection Event Rule

You can define the rules for the detection of events for which the tickets get created based on the type and severity of vulnerabilities, asset tags, RTIs, and Qualys Risk Score. You can also create detection event rules for creating change requests in the ServiceNow Change Request.

 This section only applies if you want to work with Qualys VMDR application. 

You can create two types of detection event rules:

  • One-to-One Rules: The one-to-one Rules create a separate vulnerability incident for each detection. You must set the one-to-one detection event rules to create grouping rules.
  • Grouping Rules: The Grouping Rules use the vulnerability incidents created by the one-to-one rules and group the incidents based on different criteria.
