Using Symantec Identity Protection

Symantec Identity Protection (VIP) provides an optional extra layer of identity protection. Symantec VIP gives you strong two-factor login authentication. A two-factor login combines something you know (such as a user ID and password) with something you have (a credential such as a card, token, or mobile phone). Symantec VIP Authentication Services provides the validation for "something you have." Your identity information stays within your organization's system; only the security code and credential ID pass anonymously to Symantec for validation. The result for you is a more secure connection.

What will I need?

You need a Symantec VIP credential to use Symantec Identity Protection with the PCI service. Simply edit your account and register your VIP credential to start using this feature.

I don't have a Symantec VIP credential. Where can I get one?

You can get one from the Symantec Identity Protection Center website at the following URL: https://idprotect.verisign.com/mainmenu.v
