Patch Management Release 3.8

July 4, 2025

Remediation Support for Linux Patch Jobs

You can now create remediation jobs for Linux assets with only patches. Earlier, remediation jobs were not supported for the Linux assets.

New Roles for Access Management

We have introduced two new roles to provide access to the following features:

  • Patch Custom Access Manager: Allows Patch Prioritization Access.
  • Custom Access Manager: Allows License tab access and the option to add a deployment job co-author.

Only users assigned these roles can access the above features. These roles help limit access to the defined data on the TruRisk Eliminate application.

The existing users are already assigned these new roles. By default, new users do not have these roles assigned. You must assign the roles to them to provide access to the features.

Updated Deployment Job Status: Completed With Failure

The status of deployment and rollback jobs with failed patches or actions is now indicated as Completed with Failure. The Job Progress page provides details of the failed patches and actions.

Earlier, the job progress status was displayed as Completed even if the job had failed patches or actions.

Updated Isolation Job Status: Completed With Failure

The status of isolation and rollback jobs with failed device isolation is now indicated as Completed with Failure. This status indicates that the job is completed, but the device isolation failed. You can refer to the Error Details to know more about the failure reason.
Earlier, the job progress status was displayed as Completed even if the device isolation failed.

Display Job Owner's Full Name on the Jobs tab

The Owner column in the Jobs tab displays the full name of the job owner.

Earlier, the Owner column displayed the user name of the job owner.

Issues Addressed

The following reported and notable customer issues are fixed in this release.

Component/Category Description

PM - UI

We fixed an issue where the Linux asset report generation failed when the user tried to generate a report without using any filter.

PM - UI

We fixed an issue in which, while configuring the deferment value under the job reboot request in minutes, the word Minutes in the information tool tip on the Edit Job page, automatically changed to Hours after the job is saved.
PM - Assets The missing patches count on the Assets tab did not get updated for Linux assets, even when there were no missing patches. This issue is fixed, and now the missing patches value is updated for the Linux assets.
PM - UI An issue was observed where the Modified Date field displayed a value although the user did not modify the deployment job. The issue was observed for patch, remediation, mitigation, and isolation jobs.
PM - UI An issue occurred where the job did not appear in the list under the Jobs tab, if the deployment job did not contain any asset.
