What’s New?

QGS 3.9 brings updates to the Appliance OS Versions to enhance system security.

Enhanced the Appliance Image Download Section Interface Experience

With QGS 3.9.0, We have implemented new UI changes to the Virtual Appliance Image download section. The updates include combining the two distinct download buttons for Download Virtual Appliance Image and Download Qualys Signed Certificate to a single Download dropdown.

To access the download options, navigate to Appliances,

and click the Download dropdown.

In the Download Virtual Appliance Image option, the available hypervisors and cloud environments are listed.

In the Download Qualys Signed Certificate option, you can find the required certificates for Cache Mode.

Enhanced the Appliance Details Page to Reduce Redundancy 

With this release, we have removed the logs section from appliance details page. This decision is made to remove redundancy in the user journey. You can continue to find the logs of your appliance from the QGS Text UI.

Added Support for Nutanix Platform

With this release, the CAMS/QGS has introduced support on the Nutanix platform. The supported .vhd is available to download from the QGS UI.

The CAMS/QGS is certified on the following Nutanix version --

 “AHVVERSION NUTANIX 20170830.453”

Toggle the download button as explained in Enhanced the Appliance Image Download Section Interface Experience and select from the tabs for different hypervisors and cloud environments. You can find the Nutanix Appliance image to download.

Added Support for QGS Authentication

With this release, QGS has introduced authentication features. With this, you can utilize the QGS proxy as an authenticated proxy with the Qualys Agent. You can restrict the communication with the Quays Agent by setting up authentication.  You can add a username and password for QGS authentication from the QGS Text UI.

Navigate to System Configuration > Authentication.

Click OK and your QGS Proxy now requires authentication.
