Appliance Monitoring with Alerts

Effective monitoring is crucial for maintaining the health and performance of your appliances. The CAMS Application Monitoring feature provides a robust notification system informing you about your appliance status.

Email Notification Configuration

The appliance monitoring system lets you set up email alerts for appliance inactivity. This feature ensures that key team members are promptly notified if an appliance becomes inactive.

It will take a minimum of 4 hours for you to receive an email alert.

Enable Alerts

To configure email alerts for an appliance:

  1. Use the Quick Action menu to select Configuration (hover over the appliance name in the appliance list until the Quick Action down-arrow menu appears)
  2. Skip to the Manage Alerts section
  3. Enter the email addresses for notification recipients. You can add up to 10 emails.
  4. Save your configuration

Return to the Manage Alerts section to modify the email recipients at any time. This flexibility lets you update your notification list as team members or responsibilities change.

 Manage Alerts is an optional field; you can also configure patch or proxy mode configurations without setting up alerts.

Once your alerts are set up, you can find the notification recipients to any particular appliance from the QGS Appliance lists.

A column named Alert Email is visible which shows the corresponding recipients of a particular appliance.

When your appliance moves to an Inactive state, your recipients receive an email that appears as follows.

This mail notifies you that the appliance is in an Inactive state along with its Appliance UUID and Friendly name details.
