Here are some tips for frequently asked questions and troubleshooting your Scanner Appliance.

View the Status and System Logs of the Scanner Appliance

  1. To view the status of the scanner appliance, log into Alibaba Cloud.
  2. Navigate to Elastic Compute Services > Instances and Images > Instances > Search for your instance.

  3. Click More > Operations and Troubleshooting > Get Instance Screenshot.

  4. To view the system logs, click Get Instance System Logs.

If you find issues with the personalization code, shut down the scanner instance, fix the PERSCODE value in User Data, and restart the instance.

If the problem persists and the scanner appliance is not communicating with the Qualys Cloud Platform, contact Qualys support. Include your Qualys portal URL, username and attach the instance screenshot and system logs to the support ticket.
