Scanning Modes

Qualys Offline Scanner can be operated in two distinct modes:

• CLOUD SYNC Mode
• OFFLINE SCANNING Mode

These modes allow you to efficiently manage updates, scan results, and network security assessments based on your specific requirements.

CLOUD SYNC Mode

Your offline scanner connects to the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform to retrieve option profiles, software updates, and signature updates and push scan results.

OFFLINE SCANNING Mode

Your Offline Scanner connects to the secure network you want to scan, and does not communicate with the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform via the internet.
