Troubleshooting
Here are some tips for frequently asked questions and troubleshooting your Scanner Appliance. For any errors or troubleshooting tips, refer to Troubleshooting section.
View Errors Displayed on your Scanner
To view any errors displayed on your scanner, access the scanner's virtual machine console and provide a screenshot of any error messages to Qualys Support.
To provide the system logs, on the scanner instance VNC console, enter Alt-F8 and provide a screenshot of the logs displayed to Qualys Support.
If you find issues with the personalization code, shut down the scanner instance, fix the PERSCODE value in User Data, and restart the instance.

If the problem persists and the scanner appliance is not communicating with the Qualys Cloud Platform, contact Qualys support. Include your Qualys portal URL and username and attach the instance screenshot and system logs to the support ticket.
