Why do RTI values in the Qualys UI and exported reports look different?
RTI values differ because the UI and exported reports use different data sources. Because CVEs and QIDs represent data differently, the RTI values may not match.
When you open the VMDR module and go to the Vulnerabilities tab > click a QID for an asset > View Additional Insights. The UI displays one set of RTI values. These RTI values are based on CVEs.
- The UI (Additional Insights) shows RTI values based on CVEs. This view provides more detailed and the latest threat insights.
- The exported reports (CSV or PDF) show RTI values based on QIDs. This view summarizes data at the QID level.
This is the expected behavior and not a defect.
Use:
- The UI for detailed, real-time analysis.
- Exported reports for consistent reporting and sharing.
Standardize on a single view to ensure consistent RTI values across workflows.
