Manually Create a Ticket
You can manually create a remediation ticket for any vulnerability instance, from a scan report or from the host information view.
Creating a ticket from a scan report
Go to VM/VMDR > Reports > Templates. Run any scan report template with host based findings and vulnerability details included in HTML format. View the report and scroll down to the Detailed Results section and click next to the vulnerability instance you want to create a ticket for. Then choose Create ticket from the menu.
Creating a ticket from host information
Go to VM/VMDR > Assets > Host Assets or Assets > Asset Search, find a vulnerable host, and then open the Host Information page for that host. Select Vulnerabilities on the left side and view the list of vulnerabilities (or potential vulnerabilities). Click next to the vulnerability instance you want to create a ticket for. Then choose Create ticket from the menu that appears.
Note: If Asset Group Management Service (AGMS) is enabled for your subscription, you will see the Address Management tab instead of Host Assets. To understand the changes that happen when AGMS is enabled for your subscription, refer to Introducing AGMS.
Tell me about "Asset Owner"
You can set the Asset Owner as the Ticket Assignee. The Asset Owner is an optional property that can be assigned to assets in your account. Managers and Unit Managers can assign owners to hosts by editing host information (under Assets > Host Assets).
If the host has not been assigned an owner, then the ticket will be assigned to you, the person creating the ticket. Managers and Unit Managers can assign owners to hosts by editing host information (under Assets > Host Assets).
Note: In AGMS and network-enabled accounts, the ticket assignee list has only the users with access to that particular host.
