What's New?
New Feature: Threat Intelligence
Vulnerability Management Detection and Response (VMDR) has now added Threat Intelligence to its existing list of features. By introducing Threat Intelligence, we ensure that the occurrence of cyber threats is listed, and you can prioritize the remediation actions.
Benefits
- Comprehensive collection of widgets such as CVEs and asset count
- CVE Search with Auto-Suggestion Threat Intelligence Widgets
Following are the Threat Intelligence widgets:
- Riskiest Asset Distribution by Geo-Location
- Top 20 Trending CVEs in the Wild
- Latest 20 CVEs with Weaponized Exploits
- Top 10 CVEs Exploited by Malware
- Top 10 CVEs Exploited by Threat Actor Groups
For more information about threat intelligence, refer to the VMDR Online Help.
New Feature: GroupBy Using MITRE ATT&CK Tactic and Technique Name
When we introduced the MITRE ATT&CK framework in VMDR, you could perform GroupBy only for MITRE Att&ck Tactic. This option would provide the list of Technique names and their associated IDs for each Tactic. To simplify the GroupBy results for MITRE Tactics and Techniques, we have now added the following two options:
- GroupBy for MITRE Attack Tactic Name: Use this option to retrieve a list of all Tactic Names and their associated Tactic ID for the total detections.
- GroupBy for MITRE Attack Technique Name: Use this option to retrieve a list of all Technique Names and their associated Technique IDs for the total detections.
The following screenshot highlights all three types of GroupBy options for MITRE ATT&CK under the Vulnerabilities tab:
For more information about the GroupBy in MITRE, refer to the VMDR Online Help.
Updated Permissions for MITRE ATT&CK framework
Previously, accessing the MITRE ATT&CK framework required a VMDR Manager user role. From this release, access has been extended to include VMDR Non-Managers and VMDR Sub-Users. The remaining prerequisites for the MITRE ATT&CK framework remain unchanged. To learn more about the prerequisites or the framework, refer to the VMDR Online Help.
