Qualys offers Proxy Support for Web Application Scanning. This feature is available for internal scans using a scanner appliance.
You might want to run Web Application Scanning through a proxy and this is useful for many things, including the ability to record all requests from the scanner, which can be helpful for consultants and IT security resources to prove they did not scan areas they were not supposed to, to help reach areas of a network that the scanner may not ordinarily be able to reach, and to help debug issues with our Support team.
Proxy Support is a limited availability feature.
The Proxies tab under Configuration manages all the proxy settings to which you have access.
The tab displays the proxy setting name, owner of the proxy, last updated date, and the tags added to the proxy setting.
From the Proxies tab, you can:
A) Create a new proxy setting by using the New Proxy setting button. For details, see .
B) Search for proxy records using QQL (Qualys Query Language) queries. For details, see .
C) Use filters in the left pane to search for proxy settings by quick filters and tags added to the proxy settings.
D) Use Quick Actions to perform the following actions on an individual proxy setting:
- Add Comment to Proxy Setting
E) Use the Actions menu to take the following actions on multiple proxy settings:
- Add Comment to Proxy Setting
F) Use the Search Actions menu to view the recent searches, save search queries added in the search box and manage saved searches.
