Release 1.19

January 30, 2025

What's New?

With this release, we introduce the following new features and enhancements to the Web Application Scanning user interface.

Enhanced Navigation in Edit Web Application Workflow

Earlier, while editing a web application, you had to go through each step, even while changing only one setting.

With the enhanced navigation, you can switch to any step in the Edit Web Application workflow using the left pane to update the required settings and the web application without going through the entire workflow. This helps reduce the time needed to edit a web application.

Enhanced User Interface (UI 4.0) of the Qualys Cloud Platform

Platform Name Change Update

We are renaming the Qualys Cloud Platform to the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform. This change highlights Qualys' commitment to empowering CISOs, cybersecurity professionals, and risk stakeholders to effectively measure and mitigate the impact of cyber risk on their organizations.

The Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform is the only cybersecurity and risk management solution that enables you to measure, communicate, and eliminate cyber risk across the extended enterprise with precise remediation and mitigation actions.

This update does not affect the platform’s functionality or features. Starting in January 2025, the name change will be implemented in phases across all product interfaces.

Issues Addressed

The following important and notable issues are fixed in this release.

Category/Component Issue Description

Scans

We fixed an issue where the defined DNS override option is not considered in scanning, and the scan report does not display DNS override settings. This was observed when the user launched a scan from the Web Applications tab by selecting multiple web applications, where the DNS Override is set to Use DNS override per application if proxy is not used.

The issue is fixed.

Malware monitoring

It was observed that when malware monitoring is enabled, the timezone for malware monitoring is not set to the user's default timezone. The issue is fixed.

Web application creation

We fixed an issue where the user could not create a web application with the character ü in the Web Application URL or Swagger File URL field.

Scan details

We fixed an issue where, in the View Scan Details window > Scan Options tab, the Form Submission field displays a value different from the value set in the option profile.

QID modification

In a scenario where the user modified a QID in the Knowledge Base, the modification in QID did not reflect in the detections in the newer scans.

Scheduled scan

We fixed an issue where the scheduled scan instance did not display scanner details when the user opened or edited the scheduled scan instance.

Scorecard report

A discrepancy was observed in the data displayed in the online scorecard report and downloaded CSV report. The issue is fixed.

Global exclusions

We fixed an issue where the user encountered an internal error while editing exclusions from the Global Settings

Detection Details

We fixed a typo in the Detection Details > Info section.
