Common Connection - Cloud Agent Service

The following are the common communication error reported by Cloud Agent connection service.

403

 

Access_Forbidden

This error indicates that the access to the Qualys Cloud Platform via proxy is forbidden.

Connect to the internal network and proxy teams to resolve this error.

Cloud Agent for Linux or MacOS 

Information]:Finished curl request [Error]:Http request failed:HTTP response code said error: The requested URL returned error: 403 Forbidden  [Error]:Http request failed: error code: 403

Cloud Agent for Windows

Information: Http status code received: 403 
Information: No more bytes available from server. 2080 bytes received. 
Information: Web service call returned: 403

404

Page Not Found / Server Not Found

This error indicates that the connection with the server is established but server could not find the requested data.

Verify that webservice URI and Activation ID are from the same platform. If not, then point it to the correct platform. If the URI and activation ID are for the same platform, contact Qualys Technical Support or open a support case. 

Cloud Agent for Linux or MacOS 

[Error]:Http request failed: error code: 404

Cloud Agent for Windows

Information: Http status code received: 404 
Information: No more bytes available from server. x bytes received. 
Error: Web service call failed with error: 404 

503

Service Unavailable

This error is indicates that the service is unavailable. This error might be generated from the proxy web server or Qualys Cloud Platform.

If no issue is found with the proxy server, contact Qualys Technical Support to get the help. 

Cloud Agent for Linux or MacOS 

[Information]:Finished curl request 
[Error]:Http request failed: HTTP response code said error: The requested URL returned error: 503 Service Unavailable 
[Debug]:Retry fail-over URI: skipped 
[Error]:Http request failed: error code: 503 

Cloud Agent for Windows

Information: Http status code received: 503 
Information: No more bytes available from server. x bytes received. 
Error: Web service call failed with error: 503
