Steps to Install Agents

No problem, just exit the wizard. When you're ready return to your activation keys list, select the key you want to use, then Install Agent from the Quick Actions menu.

How do I activate agents?

- Use the Quick Actions menu to activate a single agent you've already installed.

- Use the Actions menu to activate one or more agents you've already installed.

- Or auto-activate agents at install time by choosing this option in your activation key settings.

How to activate Cloud Agents?

To enable Cloud Agents to collect asset data and remediate discovered vulnerabilities, you must activate it for various Qualys applications, such as Policy Audit, Patch Management, and so on. Refer to Activate Cloud Agents in Bulk to know more.

To activate Cloud Agent for add-on modules like Policy Audit Fix (PAF), ETM Identity, refer to Activate Cloud Agent for Add-on Modules.

Check Agent Provisioning Rule (AIS Rule) Status
When you create a agent host with the same attributes as that of an existing asset, it creates a duplicate asset records. You can avoid this by using the Agent Provisioning Rule (aka. Asset Identification Service (AIS)). To learn more about AIS rule status, refer to Agent Provisioning Rule Status.
