Importing Parameterized Script from Library
You can import a Parameterized script from the Library. The imported scripts are available in the Scripts tab. You can edit parameters as per your requirements. Importing a script imports the script details and excludes metadata.
Import Scripts
To import a script, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Library tab and toggle Show Parameterized Script.
- Select the required script, that you want to import.
- From the Quick Actions menu, click Import Script.
Import Script page is displayed.
- Provide a unique Name for the script.
- Select the Category and Type of Script.
Make sure to choose a unique name for the script when importing to avoid an error message that is displayed if the imported script name matches an existing one.
The script is now available in the Script tab and is in the Pending Update status. You can see a Parameterized script icon in front of a script.
Update Script Parameters
Now the Parameterized script has been imported and is available in the Scripts tab. The next step is to update script parameters.
Follow these steps to update the parameters:
- Select the imported script and from the Quick Actions menu, click Edit.
- Edit the Basic Information of the script, like the Name and Description, as per your requirement.

Edit the parameters as required like Category, Time limit, Severity.

Click icon from Scripts to enter the values for parameters.
The Edit Query pane is displayed.

Enter the parameters in the Edit Query pane and click Update and then Next.
You can identify the parameters you have entered as they are highlighted in blue in the Preview Script.

From the Review and Confirm tab, review all the details, and to confirm, click Update.
The Script is updated with parameters and status changes from Pending Update to Pending Test.

Test the script.
