Configure Basic Authentication Credential

You need to set up a basic authentication credentials record in ServiceNow to authenticate a connection to the Qualys system.

To set up basic authentication credentials, you must have a Service account with Manager privilege and API access in a Qualys subscription.

 Contact your Qualys administrator for your account to get service account details.

Perform the following steps to configure basic authentication credentials:

1. Go to Connection & Credentials > and click New in the application navigator
2. Click Basic Auth Credentials from the list.

   

3. Enter the required details to create an authentication record:

   • Name - Provide a name for the authentication record.
   • User name - User name to be associated with the authentication record.
   • Password - Password for the user name.

4. Click Submit.
   This record is available when selecting credentials to authenticate a connection to Qualys.
