Calculate Capacity for WAS Scans
Use the WAS scan type to estimate scanner capacity for Web Application Scanning (WAS) workloads.
To calculate capacity for WAS scans, perform the following steps:
-
In the Scan Type section, select WAS.
-
In Number of Scan Jobs, enter the total number of web application scan jobs.
One WAS scan job is created for each web application target.
-
In Concurrent WAS Scans, enter the maximum number of WAS scan jobs that run simultaneously across all scanners.
-
In the Desired Scan Duration section, enter the desired completion time in hours. (Optional)
For example, enter 10 to complete the scan workload within a 10-hour maintenance window.
To understand the scan time planner table, refer to the Scan Time Planner section.
-
Enter the Scanner pool size to model your current scanner deployment. (Optional)
-
Review the table to find the specifications and scanner count that meets your window.
