Policy Audit Release 1.2.0
August 4, 2025
Updated Message for Unlocking Locked Policies
With this release, we have updated the message displayed when attempting to unlock policies locked during import.
Previously, if you selected a policy that was locked at import, you would see a generic message - Select at least one locked policy. However, this was misleading because only user-created policies can be unlocked and not those that were imported from the library in a locked state.
This improvement clarifies the functionality by communicating that only user-created policies are eligible for unlocking.
Discontinuation of Policy Summary and Control View Tabs
With this release, we have discontinued the Policy Summary and Control View tabs.
As announced in the Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform 10.33 UI Release Notes, these tabs were scheduled for discontinuation on August 1, 2025.
Policy Summary tab - Provided a dashboard-style view of your compliance status for a single policy, including control evaluation data for the selected timeframe. This information can now be viewed on the Dashboard page.
Control View tab - Allowed you to search and view information across all controls in your subscription. It also supported creating and saving custom search queries to help navigate compliance data more efficiently. This information can now be viewed on the Posture page.
Issues Addressed
The following reported and notable customer issues are fixed in this release:
Component/Category | Application |
Description |
PA / PC - Reports | Policy Audit / Policy Compliance | When the users generated a Compliance report, it was observed that wherever double quotes are used in the actual value field, it is mentioned as " for multiple controls in the Cause of failure field. Relevant code changes have been made to fix the issue. |
PA / PC | Policy Audit / Policy Compliance | When the users navigated through the Policy Audit module and clicked Launch Help to understand a particular page, they encountered an error. Relevant code changes have been made to fix the issue. |
PA / PC - Reports | Policy Audit / Policy Compliance | When Manager users generated a compliance report, it included complete asset count details. However, when Sub-users generated the same report, some asset count details were not displayed. This behavior occurred because the Sub-user accounts are TBUS enabled, and viewing asset count details is not within their scope. We have now added a Note explaining this behavior that is displayed when generating a new compliance report, and also documented this in the Online Help. |
PA / PC - UI | Policy Audit / Policy Compliance | When the users were viewing a policy in edit and view mode, they noticed a mismatch in the regex values for technology Mac OS X 14.x. The values for CIDs 25278 and 25240 appeared differently in view mode compared to edit mode. Relevant code changes have been made to fix the issue. |
PA / PC - Reports | Policy Audit / Policy Compliance | When the users generated a compliance report in XML format, they observed that the evidence results (which includes the Current Values and Expected Values) were missing for User Defined Controls (UDC), while the same data appeared correctly in the CSV format of the report. Relevant code changes have been made to fix the issue. |
