Asset Management Phase
In the Asset Management phase, you identify assets and discover inventory. The identification and discovery of the assets are performed using the Cloud Agents. You can also identify the assets by upgrading the existing agents for VMDR. In this phase, you assign tags to categorize and organize the assets. This phase also includes gathering detailed information about asset details, running services, and installed software.
This phase gives up-to-date real-time inventory for the following IT assets:
- On-premises Device Inventory: Detects all devices and applications connected to the network.
- Certificate Inventory: Detects and catalogs all TLS/SSL internal and external-facing digital certificates from the Certificate Authority.
- Cloud Inventory: Monitors users and instances for a continuous inventory of resources and assets across all public cloud platforms.
- Container Inventory: Discover and track container hosts and their information from the build to runtime.
- Mobile Device Inventory: Detect and catalog Android, iOS, and iPad OS devices across the enterprise, providing extensive information about the devices, their configurations, and installed applications.
