What's New?
Introduced New Reports Tab
With this release, we have introduced a new Reports tab. You can now generate reports in CAR for any job and conveniently download them from this Reports tab.
Key Features
- Reports are available for 30 days before being purged.
- Reports display a countdown of the remaining days to download.
- Reports can be downloaded in CSV format.
Benefits
- Gather necessary information without having to manually compile data, saving time and effort.
- Countdown feature provides a clear indication of the time remaining to access reports, prompting to act promptly and avoid missing out on critical data.
You can view the generated report in the Reports tab.
You can generate a report, from the Jobs tab. For more information on how to generate a report, refer to Custom Assessment and Remediation Online help.
Permissions for Managing Reports
The following new permissions are required for managing reports:

SM.REPORTS.VIEW | Allows to view the Reports tab. |
SM.REPORTS.CREATE | Allows to generate a report. |
SM.REPORTS.DELETE | Allows to delete a report. |
SM.REPORTS.DOWNLOAD | Allows to download a report in CSV format. |
Ability to Add Description to Exit Code in the QID Detection Logic
With this release, you can now add a description for each exit code when creating a custom QID script, improving clarity and ease of use. You can now search jobs based on the description of the exit code. You can search the job using token return.code.description

Enhanced Script Creation
We have optimized the script creation process for user convenience. Now, Manager users can create scripts with customizable parameters, whether they are in Custom QID scripts or Parameterized scripts.

- A more seamless experience when crafting and modifying your scripts.
Script Creation
Managers can create customized QID scripts from scratch, allowing for a more tailored approach to their specific needs. Manager users can define parameters for the custom scripts for QIDs or parameterized scripts, enhancing flexibility and usability.
Manager users have the option to:
- Enter a new script manually.
- Upload scripts directly from their devices.
- Import scripts from GitHub for collaboration and version control.
- Utilize predefined scripts to save time and effort
Parametrized Script Creation
With this release, we have enhanced the parameterized script creation process. The enhancements include the following:
- Predefined Script Import
When creating a new script, you can now import a predefined script and enter parameters within the Script Details page. - Parameter Addition
While importing a script from the library, you can now conveniently add parameter values through the new Add Parameter Value tab.
API Enhancements
We have added new APIs to streamline report management, including fetching, generating, downloading, and deleting reports for the Reporting feature. For detailed information on these APIs, refer to the Qualys Custom Assessment and Remediation 2.4 API Release Notes.

Enhanced Navigation for a Streamlined User Experience
The redesigned menu structure and streamlined layouts make it easier to access critical features. You can now navigate the platform more intuitively, reducing the time spent on routine tasks. The new layout reduces cognitive load, providing a more apparent distinction between primary and secondary navigation elements, ensuring a seamless workflow for new and experienced users.

Primary | We have added a vertical navigation bar on the left side of your screen for quick module access. This keeps your workspace organized and everything just a click away. You can hover over this bar to view or hide icon labels as needed. |

The enhanced user interface is rolling out in phases starting January 2025. To guide you through the transition, you will receive in-platform notifications and email updates. Compatibility is seamless, with no additional setup required.

Platform Name Change Update
We are renaming the Qualys Cloud Platform to the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform. This change highlights Qualys' commitment to empowering CISOs, cybersecurity professionals, and risk stakeholders to effectively measure and mitigate the impact of cyber risk on their organizations.
The Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform is the only cybersecurity and risk management solution that enables you to measure, communicate, and eliminate cyber risk across the extended enterprise with precise remediation and mitigation actions.
This update does not affect the platform’s functionality or features. The name change will be implemented across all product interfaces in phases, starting January 2025.
