Bulk Asset Activation by Rule

You can activate assets in bulk by creating a QQL-based or a tag-based rule. The assets are activated after the rule is executed. 

The tiles indicate the assets discovered by various sources, such as EASM Unmanaged Assets, CAPS Unmanaged Assets, Newly Discovered Assets, and so on. 

Go to Configuration > Asset Activation Workflow tab and complete the following steps to create a rule.

1. Click New Rule and provide the Activation title and description on the Basic Details page.

2. specify the assets you want to activate on the Asset Scope page.

i. Specify the search query to include assets in the job.

ii. If you want, Include host for the tags (Any / All) to include the tagged assets in the job.

iii. If you want, select the Exclude hosts having the selected tags (Any / All) to exclude the tagged assets in the job.

iv. Enter the asset activation limit. Using the asset activation rule, you can activate a maximum of 10000 assets at a time. 

v. Click Next.

3. Choose the modules for activation, select the tracking method, network, and asset group, and click Next. 

Note: You can activate assets for Vulnerability Management and Certificate View. 

4. Review the rule configuration on the Review and Confirmation page and click Finish. 

The rule is successfully created and executed 24 hours after the creation time.

Quick Actions Supported for the Bulk Asset Activation Rule

- You can view the rule details from the Quick Actions menu of the respective rule. 

- You can edit, delete, and disable the rule.

- You can view the Execution Report.

Edit the Bulk Asset Activation Rule

When you edit the Asset Activation rule, you can edit only the following details:

- Basic Details Page: You can edit the activation title and activation description.

- Asset Scope Page: You can edit only the Asset Limit.

- Activation Settings Page: You can't edit any of the details. 

- Review and Confirm Page: You can only edit the Basic Details and Asset Scope details mentioned earlier.
