View Open Port
The Open Port tab lists the open ports found on the assets in your organization. Search that list with a Qualys Query Language (QQL) query, and add a port to an authorization rule.
Navigate to: Inventory > Assets > Open Port
Use this to
- Find the open ports on your assets with a QQL query.
- Record whether a port is expected on your assets.
- Add a port to a new or existing authorization rule.
Add a port to an authorization rule
Add a port to an authorization rule to record whether the port is expected on your assets.
Before you begin: A port appears on this tab only after the asset it belongs to has reported data to ETM. If you do not see the port you expect, check that the asset is present in your inventory.
- Find the port you want to authorize, then click Add To Authorization Rule from the Quick Actions menu.
- Select Authorization from the drop-down list.
- Choose an existing rule, or create new rule to add the port to.
- Click Save.
Search for open ports
Use a Qualys Query Language (QQL) query to narrow the tab to the ports you care about. For more information, see Search Tokens.
Narrow the list with a query first, then add the ports you expect to an authorization rule. Ports that are already covered by a rule stop competing for attention when you review the tab again.
