Set up Enterprise Profile

To get started with ETM, setting up your company profile is the first step. Apart from providing your company geolocation, this step also allows you to set the level of risk your organization is willing to accept.

Your Enterprise Profile tells ETM who your company is. ETM uses these details to give context to the risk it finds across your organization. It takes only a few minutes to complete.

Before you begin

Keep these details about your company ready:

  • Registered company name and website URL
  • Industry sector and number of employees
  • Country, state, and city of your headquarters
  • (Optional) The highest TruRisk™ Score your organization is willing to accept

Why your Enterprise Profile matters

Your Enterprise Profile is the starting point for everything you do in ETM. The details you add here describe your organization, so ETM can show your cyber risk in the context of your business, not only as a list of technical findings.

Setting up your profile helps you:

  • Give context to your risk. Your company name, industry, size, and location tell ETM what kind of organization it is assessing.
  • Set a risk limit for your whole organization. The Risk Appetite you set here is the highest TruRisk™ Score your organization is willing to accept. You can then see when your risk goes above that limit and act early.
  • Prepare for the next onboarding steps. Your profile is the base for the Business Entities and connectors you set up next.
  • Keep your information up to date. As your company grows or changes, you can update the profile at any time from the Configuration tab.

Set up your Enterprise Profile

Perform the following steps to set up your Enterprise Profile:

  1. Provide your company metrics such as Registered Company Name, Website URL, Industrial Sector, and Employee Count.
  2. From the Country, State, and City drop-down, choose the location of your company's headquarters.
  3. (Optional) Enable the Risk Appetite toggle to define the TruRisk™ Score threshold for your organization.

Risk appetite is the amount of risk your organization is willing to accept. ETM compares your TruRisk™ Score against this threshold, so you can quickly see when risk goes above the level you set.
