Exceptions

The remediation owners can seek exception for an individual vulnerability incident or a vulnerability incident group if the vulnerability cannot be remediated for various reasons, such as insufficient downtime, patch not available, or applications not compatible with updates.

This section presents how a remediation owner can initiate an exception, inputs that need to be added while requesting exception approval, and the state of the ticket during exception management. It also presents how the approver can approve or reject the exception requested.
