Get Started with Qualys Units (QLU)
Qualys Units (QLUs) are flexible subscription units that you allocate across Qualys products based on your business priorities. This page explains how to access QLU Management and start your subscription across Qualys products.
By default, Subscription (PoC) User and Super Users have access to QLU Management in the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk™ Platform. All other users require explicit permission from an administrator to view or manage QLUs.
Prerequisites
The following list displays the prerequisites for the other users to access the Subscription tab and QLU Management:
- An active QLU subscription.
- An administrator has granted you full administrative permissions.
- The QLU Manager role is assigned to your user profile.
Roles and Permissions
The following table describes the roles and permissions required to manage and view QLU activities.
| Roles and Permissions | Responsibilities |

| QLU Manager with QLU.Allocation | Purchase subscriptions, allocate and reallocate units, and initiate product trials. |
| QLU Manager with QLU.View | View the QLU dashboard. You can not make changes. |
If you do not have the required permissions, contact your administrator or a user with the QLU Manager role to request access.

Navigate to QLU Management
To manage QLUs, you must access the Subscription tab in the Qualys Administration application:
1. Navigate to the Administration application.
2. Click Subscription.
The Subscription tab displays an overview of your QLU subscription, including total units, allocated units, available balance, and usage trends.
